Round the Island - June 25th 2011

The annual J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race, organised by the Island Sailing Club, is one of the most popular fixtures on the Solent racing calendar. The race regularly attracts over 1,700 boats and around 16,000 sailors, making it the fourth largest participation sporting event in the UK after the London Marathon and the Great North and South Runs.

Oyster Week - June 27th-July 1st 2011

Racing planned for the Oyster event includes two short Solent races, a passage to the picturesque port of Yarmouth IOW, and from there back Round the Island to Hamble using our 50% motoring time formula. It concludes with a short pursuit race to Cowes and lunch with our friends at the Royal Yacht Squadron.

Cowes Week 2011 - Aug 6th - 13th, 2011

Cowes Week has always played a key part in the British sporting summer calendar and is one of the UK's longest running and most successful sporting events. It stages up to 40 daily races for over 1,000 boats and is the largest sailing regatta of its kind in the world.

Cowes Week is a mix of many exciting parts, with its excellent mix of competitive sailing and social activities. 8,500 competitors range from Olympic and world class professionals to weekend sailors. In excess of 100,000 spectators come to watch the sailing, enjoy the parties and live entertainment, and to experience the unique atmosphere.

Little Britain Challenge Cup - September 8th - 11th 2011

The Little Britain Challenge Cup is a sailing regatta for the construction industry. Since the first event in 1988 the Little Britain Challenge Cup has grown from 3 to 250 entries and to include more than 3000 competitors, making it the biggest regatta in the UK after Cowes Week.
